Isnino Mohamed

Isnino Mohamed joined Mary’s Place in July 2023, marking her second year living in Rochester after relocating from Vermont. Born in a refugee camp in Kenya, Isnino migrated to the United States in 2009 to embark on a new life journey. Her connection to Mary’s Place began when her husband sought assistance for their family. The aid from Mary’s Place including free food and diapers greatly alleviated the financial burden of raising their 5 kids.

Today, Isnino is thrilled to have the opportunity to help more refugees in Rochester, and to give back to the community that supported her. Drawing from her unique experiences, she believes she can provide a helpful perspective and a deep sense of empathy in her service to others.
